How we dey measure

After we set up di connection, we dey use di median of six HTTP round trips as latency. To get jitter, we dey find di absolute difference between each sample and di next one, then take di average. Dis no be ICMP ping.

Each direction start for 16 KiB and adjust up to 4 MiB blocks. Download use maximum 32 MiB, upload maximum 16 MiB. Each direction stop after 8 seconds; the whole test finish inside 45 seconds. Download count received bytes. Upload count only complete blocks wey server confirm and the time wey dem take. Requests wey never finish still count against budget. If samples no enough, we go show explanation instead of speed. Mbps = bytes × 8 / seconds / 1,000,000; 1,000,000 bytes for one second na 8 Mbps.

Wetin result no show

Result from one connection fit dey different from tests wey use many connections at once. Wi-Fi, VPN, how busy di node dey, your device and browser fit affect am. Node wey dey run for your own computer no dey measure di speed of your internet plan. Di result go show di node and di time wey we take measure am.

Quotas and retries

Each test no fit pass 48 MiB, and each IP fit run only 3 tests every 10 minutes. Di node go stop to accept new tests when di daily budget finish. If you press Stop while test dey run, e go stop di transfers.

E measure one HTTP connection to Cloudflare edge network. Results show node code, no be ISP speed guarantee.

Any time wey you start test, e dey reserve 48 MiB from di shared daily 1 GiB trial budget. If you cancel or finish di test, dat share no go return. Na about 21 full tests dey available for di whole world each day; di budget dey reset for UTC midnight.
